In times of stress and anxiety, our imaginations run wild creating worse case scenarios. And from there our body goes into heightened states of fear, insecurity and anxiety. If you practice this technique, and get yourself into the present moment, you’ll become aware that you’re actually safe. From a present moment relaxed state, you could also create scenarios in your imagination that are positive. Either way, positive or negative, it’s in your imagination. It hasn’t happened yet…But letting go of worry, and allowing yourself to be present and self aware that you’re safe, is a self care practice that will serve you well.
